If you need a curve smaller than the standard R40 curves, then here is the Trixbrix R32 curve.
R32 curves fit exactly in between R24 and R40 curves leaving no space in between tracks. This smaller size curve is perfect for tight spaces as a full u-turn requires only 58 cm. It's compatible with all LEGO® trains unlike the R24 radius curves which are too tight for some trains. Perfect for Xmas trains!
It was designed taking into account all the LEGO® geometric requirements which makes the part fully compatible with original LEGO® tracks and bricks..

Detailed explanation of R32 radius
The R32 is the radius measured from the center of the circle to the centerline between the rails using the LEGO® stud as the unit. LEGO®stud is 8mm. The space needed to have the full R32 circle can be calculated as follows: (32 + 4) * 2 * 8mm = 576mm ~= 0.58m. This measures the diameter (2 * radius) of the outer shape of the track - that's why we added 4 studs in the formula.
In general, the formula for calculating the outer diameter of the track circle is:
(R + 4) * 2 * 8mm
